The Purple Heart Car Donation Program-A Great Way to Give
Donating a car to the Purple Heart Foundation is a great way to get rid of a vehicle you no longer want while helping those who have served our country. You will get an IRS tax deduction while current and former soldiers will be helped through a variety of programs. The Purple Heart is a medal of honor for those wounded in combat, but any veteran can receive assistance. What better way to thank our soldiers for their duty and sacrifice than to give to the Purple Heart Car Donation program.
The donation process is very simple so if you decide you wish to support the Purple Heart Car Donation program, all you will need to do is fill out an online form or call their toll free number. This will start the process and the foundation will send a towing company to come pick up the vehicle. Once they arrive, you will give the driver the title and keys to your car and they will provide you with a receipt saying they picked the car up. If you cannot be home, just tell the company where to locate your vehicle and where you will place the title and keys for them to find.
Again, they will leave you a receipt and once your car has been donated, within 10 to 15 business days, you will receive an IRS tax deductible donation receipt. Any car will be accepted, even if it is not running, which is uncommon for other programs, but the Purple Heart Car Donation program will. If you do not have a vehicle to donate, but wish to support the foundation, consider donating a boat, RV or motorcycle because they will accept those forms of transportation also. All will be 100 percent tax deductible.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation has been in business for over 75 years now. The non profit organization’s sole purpose is to help disabled and wounded veterans in any way they can. A number of programs are funded. Thanks to your donation and you can rest assured knowing your unwanted car, truck, RV or other vehicle is being used for a good purpose.
